Here are the numbers you’ve been waiting to see: the Alabama Senate write-in vote results and Nick Saban’s roll in one of the most talked about Senate races of the 21st century. An old media friend sent word tonight that Morgan County, Alabama released its write-in votes by name and the results are all over the board like you would’ve guessed.
Saban received 8 of the 671 write-ins.
Those receiving votes included:
Phil from Duck Dynasty (4); Vince Gill (1); Ronald Reagan (1); Bugs Bunny (1); Buddy the Elf (1), Bozo the Clown (2) – from two different precincts, Mr. McGoo(1), ‘A Competent Conservative’(1) and Condoleezza Rice (1).
Even Auburn kicker Daniel Carlson received one vote. Carlson, a native of Colorado, made two key field goals against Bama during the Iron Bowl and helped War Eagle win 24-16.
