Rare Good News From Clipperland: Blake Griffin Running on Treadmill!

Forgive me for getting excited about Blake Griffin running on a treadmill, but it’s only fair after subjecting myself to the Clippers playing the Spurs without Blake, Danilo Gallinari, Patrick Beverley, and Lou Williams. That worst-case scenario coming into the season where all the injury-prone Clippers go down and the season bursts into flames? Yeah, it happened, and it happened quickly.

Blake was diagnosed with an MCL sprain to his left knee in November after Austin Rivers fell onto his leg. His recovery has an estimated two-month timetable. Blake’s also been spotted shooting before recent Clippers games:

The Clippers are a sad 11-18 thus far, but are only 3.5 games out of the final playoff spot. Perhaps there’s a run in them if Blake can get back in time and Danilo stops injuring his ass.

More from the Clippers recovery front: Patrick Beverley’s rehab after microfracture surgery seems quite painful.
