I’m not seeing the normal pessimism we’re used to out of Philly this week after Carson Wentz’s knee exploded last Sunday after diving for that TD. When I logged on to do my normal Sunday morning searches I expected to see some down in the dumps Birds fans ready to throw the season in the garbage.
But as turns out, it’s been the total opposite. Everybody is all aboard the St. Nick Foles sleigh. It seems like everybody has the utmost confidence in this guy despite what we saw the last time he was a starter (go take a gander at those Rams numbers).
I get it. They remember that 2013 year when Foles couldn’t throw a pick if he tried. So now we have billboards up on I-95 pumping him up, the pizza places are all aboard and Christmas cookies are being made. Weird seeing optimistic Philly fans at this point in the NFL season.

Also, they are playing the Giants today, so that could be a reason for the positivity around these people.
