After Baker Mayfield gave Kansas the ole nut grab last week, it was announced that he would be benched and would not be a captain for the final game of his career at OU. It’s kind of a big deal, seeing as he’s one of the best players to ever play at Oklahoma and most likely will be the Heisman winner this year.
So how did his teammates pay tribute to their captain who lost his captainship and is benched to start the game today? They brought out his jersey to the coin toss like he died. Seriously.
