Last night’s Thursday Night Football game was terrible. If you’re keeping track, that’s three straight national primetime games that have been blowouts now. Yet, we’re all addicted to the NFL so we still watch.
But last night kept us interested more than normal because of NBC testing out the Madden cam as their primary camera angle for the game. If you remember, a few weeks ago NBC fell ass-backward into this when Bill Belichick turned on a fog machine at Gilette Stadium and the normal camera angle we’re used to became unusable. People on Twitter seemed to enjoy it, so they tried it out again last night.
From what I can tell, like most issues in this country today, people either really loved it or really hated it. I’m not seeing many folks sitting on the fence with this one. Our old friend, Brent Musberger, seems to be the guy leading the charge on the “hate it” side.
Yo NBC sports. Great job on intimate portrait of Steelers' game. Casual fans don't give a shit where the safeties are positioned. Ratings are tied to fans, not future coaches.

And another old man yells at a cloud. I love Brent, but sometimes switching things up from time to time isn’t a bad thing. Plus, watching these shitty QBs get exposed via the Madden cam is going to be highly entertaining.
