Jourdan Rodrigue, the Charlotte Observer female journalist in the center of the Cam Newton saga, is now apologizing for racist tweets that are like 4-5 years old. I know, it’s one of the most 2017 developments to develop in 2017. It all makes me want to light up a J with old high school friends that were actually fun to hang with, listen to some Tom Petty and chill the fucc out for like forever.
You know the story: Rodrigue asks Cam some question about route running, he fires back some stupid answer about women asking a question about routes and then it’s on from there. Blah, blah, blah.
One thing leads to another, people are digging into Rodrigue’s past tweets and there it is. Some sort of trip led to her dad telling racist Indian jokes, which led to Jourdan saying her racist-joke telling father is the best. Now Jourdan’s in the line of fire and apologizing for old tweets.
Folks, I’m telling you right now it’s not the best time to be alive. It’s a really fucced up world out there. You just never know when some old Indian racist joke telling by your dad is going to come back to haunt you.
BTW, everyone will forget all about this Cam/women thing by Saturday morning/Sunday night, right?
