As you might have heard, MLB umpires are wearing white wristbands to protest the “escalating verbal attacks” they are apparently being subjected to. You’d assume no one would give a damn about POS umpire Angel Hernandez getting torched by Ian Kinsler in the media, but true to form, the World Umpires Association thinks they’re more important than they really are:

But while umps are salty grumps who have issues calling balls and strikes, they don’t seem to be too bad off the field. Well… Joe West seems okay — he was nice enough to take a pic with a Blue Jays fan before buying his protest whites:
