All-American Punter vs [future All-American?👀] @sjsusoccer Goalie.
That ball had some heat on it. @ana_calero5 with the save of the century! pic.twitter.com/MA5h9BFwvk— SanJoseStateFootball (@SJSUSpartanFB) August 4, 2017
TURN UP THE SOUND ON THIS ONE.
Senior San Jose State punter Mac Carrizosa is pretty much considered a top-5 punter in college football. Big league leg. All the intangibles. Power. 2nd team All-American in 2016. Ray Guy finalist in 2015. You get the idea. The guy can kick a ball.
Soooooo…the women’s soccer team put up its goalie Ana Calero against Carrizosa in a penalty kick situation this week at practice. Annnnndddd Carrizosa unleashed a rocket penalty kick…that you can see above…that Calero gets in front of and makes a big save that sends the San Jose State teams into a frenzy.
It’s good to see SJSU have some fun. They open with South Florida at home and get Texas two weeks later. Gotta enjoy life a little. The women’s soccer team finished 2016 at 10-6-4.
The kick is at the 6:50 mark of this Periscope and shows just how fast the ball was coming at Calero.
