They may play a sport for a living, but even MLB players are prone to Cases of the Mondays. Case in point: Tigers outfielder Mikie Mahtook, who was on the receiving end of two hit by pitches via Yankees pitchers Luis Severino and Tommy Kahnle.
Now, the Severino HBP didn’t seem to faze Mahtook too much, but the former LSU star definitely had an explicit reaction to Kahnle’s 98 mph fastball coming in hot and hitting him in the head:
"He's not happy." Mikie Mahtook dinged in the head… 😮 pic.twitter.com/D8YtyL6xg5

Fortunately that baseball didn’t catch Mahtook flush, so it’s okay to enjoy this loop of F-bombs:

Mahtook told media postgame that he and Kahnle are all good, and that he knows the new Yankees reliever wasn’t trying to end him:
Mikie Mahtook said no hard feelings about being hit in head. He played against Tommy Kahnle coming up, knows the pitch was not intentional.

Because the Yankees are World Series contenders again, here are some very bad tweets sent out by the pinestripe faithful to get you guys revved up:
I think Tommy Kahnle has to charge Mikie Mahtook and beat him up for that reaction.

How about Mikie Mahtook thinking he's important enough to get intentionally thrown at? Balls get away

Honestly, @MikieMahtook8 is a huge cry baby.
