John Daly Doused in Champagne After PGA Tour Champions Win

John Daly ended a long 13-year title drought on Sunday, as he won the PGA Champions Tour’s Insperity Invitational by a stroke (over Kenny Perry and Tommy Armour III) despite bogeying his final three holes. Whatever the case, a win is a win and John’s $322,000 richer because of it — his post-tournament comments (via ESPN):

“It wasn’t pretty at the end,” Daly said. “But I got it done and that’s all that matters.”

And because this is JD, he celebrated like a goddamn rockstar in his American flag pants and was promptly hit with a champagne shower:

A big win for Big John.@PGA_JohnDaly wins the @InsperityInvtnl for his first victory on PGA TOUR Champions. 🍾

Looks like he pounded some victory beers:

Thank you all so much….this is definitely sweet! 👊🏆 @InsperityInvtnl @ChampionsTour
