Archie Miller’s Selling His Dayton House Now That He’s Indiana’s Basketball Coach

|

In the end, Dayton just couldn’t pay Archie Miller enough to keep him at UD Arena. Indiana came in with a forever job offer of $3.35 million a year, 3rd highest in the Big Ten, and Archie had no choice but to jump on it. Even at Dayton you’re a 19-10 season away from the big boys forgetting your name. Of course Archie couldn’t take that chance.

Add it all up and now Archie needs to sell his Dayton house, which is pretty nice in the A-10 world. Moving to Dayton? It could be yours for $750,000. According to tax records, Archie paid $500k for the place so a sale at asking means Archie’s rolling in even more money. The guy is a machine right now.

From Archie’s realtor:

Best deal in West Kettering on this hard to find modern home on nearly an acre of private setting with a wooded view. Located at the end of a private drive this one measures in at about 6500 sq ft of finished living area. Step inside and you are greeted with a 2 story entry that looks straight through the two story family room and out its window wall overlooking this wonderful lot. You’ll fall in love with the bright sunroom and its vaulted ceiling, hardwood floor and access to the composite deck. Unbelievable kitchen remodeled 2016 features a huge two tier island with prep sink, top of the line granite, stainless Fisher and Paykel two drawer dishwasher, double ovens, Wolf cook top, Wolf microwave with warming tray, planning desk and breakfast bar seating.

Hmm, remodeled the kitchen in 2016. That tells me the Millers sorta thought they would be staying in Dayton for at least a couple more years. Why bother remodeling a kitchen when you’ll be dumping the house after taking a job in 2017? I’m starting to think Archie didn’t think that forever job would open up this offseason…things definitely change.

Other highlights of Archie’s Dayton pad:

• 5 beds, 6 bathrooms, 5,086 sq. ft.

• Lower level is HUGE…but it needs a real billiards room and I smell a theater for the future owner

• Did you notice how open the main room is? Classic basketball coach move here. Give those big guys some headroom

• I like the Dayton Flyers Bud Light neon light in the basement…hopefully that stays…negotiate for it

• 4.7 miles to Tank’s Bar & Grill — legendary UD hangout

• 6.3 miles to Whole Foods
