Villanova is attempting to become the first repeat NCAA Tournament champions since the 2006-07 Florida teams, so obviously we have to give them some love this week. Getting through that East region will be tough with Duke as potential matchup down the line, but experts (like Joe Lunardi) see them making a deep push.
Sure, they won’t have Ryan Arcidiacono this time around, but sophomore Jalen Brunson has taken quite the leap — he’s averaging 14.8 points and 4.2 assists and was selected as a Bob Cousy Award finalist.
