Looks like the Las Vegas Raiders are a go
From the Las Vegas Sun: “It wasn’t immediately known how much Bank of America would put up. The initial plan called for the state to provide $750 million from an increase in the hotel room tax and for the Raiders to provide $500 million.” There we go, the financing side of things seems to be official. We’re about to get weekend guy trips to Vegas to just go crazy partying, gambling, pools, cabanas, random games against the Raiders we don’t necessarily care about, bachelor parties, etc. It’s going to be amazing, especially the Super Bowl when it’s played in town. Think about how this will work: 1 p.m. PST kickoffs. Game is over by like 4 or 4:30 at worst. You catch the 8 p.m. flight out of town & you’re back home in plenty of time for bed from Dallas to the west. Or you catch a red eye, sleep on the plane and you’re at work in the morning from St. Louis to the east. Can’t wait.
