I think we can all agree that sometimes golf could use a little excitement added to it. Don’t get me wrong, nobody loves napping to Jim Nantz’s soothing voice on a Sunday afternoon more than me, but in big moments there shouldn’t be anything wrong cranking up the volume a little bit.
That’s where Spanish language broadcasters come in. When they call soccer games, every goal call is like someone just won a championship. It’s freaking awesome. There’s never a dull moment. That’s why we need to mix them into golf. This hole-in-one call from yesterday is a prime example of turning something you’d nap through into something you want to shotgun a beer after.
