Iowa State football may be forever crappy, but the same can’t be said for their basketball program. They are currently second in the Big 12 at 20-9, and honestly look like a great bet for a deep NCAA tournament run. You guys already know the deal with these college teams loaded with productive seniors (Monte Morris, Deonte Burton, Mitrou-Long, etc.) — they won’t wilt like one-and-done prospect teams.
There’s a lot to like here, so students/alum should definitely look into the ISU tailgate bus above. It’s on the market for $20K and features new tires, seating for up to 10 people and much more — details from the Craigslist ad:
2005 Ford E-350 bus with 23,000 miles. Fully wrapped with Iowa State Cyclone theme. Seats 10 plus the driver. Includes built-in table inside the bus that seats 4 with cupholders built into the table. TV and satellite dish to watch other collegiate games while tailgating! Ample storage along top inside for plates, cups, etc and an island inside with cupboard for storing other necessities and serving on rainy or cold days. Outside includes a hitch attached metal storage tray and storage trunk for chairs, etc. Flag pole included! Can be run off generator or included power inverter. New tires and transmission. Small enough that you can pull right into a regular parking spot in the Hilton lot (allowed if it fits) and you don’t have to park with the RVs. This makes for quicker entrance and exit to and from game! Super NICE and low mileage–will last a LOOONG time!!
To be honest, $20K seems a bit rich for Cyclones tailgating but you spend your tax refund however you want.
