New York Giants Stay Hot Off the Field, Trash Their Plane Home From Wisconsin

Already under media spotlight for “Boatgate” and OBJ punching walls, the Giants apparently decided to hit the scandal trifecta Monday morning by reportedly trashing the first-class cabin on United Airlines flight 934 home from Wisconsin.

According to the NY Post, the flight was supposed to head out to London shortly after arrival at Newark, but passengers were instead subjected to a three-hour plus delay. And once they were finally able to board, everyone was apparently hit with the nice odors of alcohol and popcorn:

Mark Kropf said he was waiting to board United Airlines Flight 934 out of Newark when “the pilot came out and asked for everyone’s patience, and shared where the plane came from and that the plane needed extra help repairing and cleaning the interior.”
“Another 30 minutes passed and the gate agent told us it was the Giants that destroyed the biz class cabin, and we saw service personnel walking countless seat cushions off the plane,” Kropf, a tech company employee from Brooklyn, wrote in a message via Twitter.
“Upon entering the business class cabin, the cleaning scent only partially masked the alcohol smell. I had popcorn, chewing tobacco and other food crumbs on my seat.”

Don’t let Kropf’s tweet fool you, though — the BBC”s Sian Welby seemed to appreciate the G-Men coming through with a delay:

It’s probably worth noting that a Giants spokesman denied the allegations, but there was a plane filled with people who believe otherwise.
