After an unacceptable Week 16 loss to the Dolphins, Bills ownership gifted their fans a late Christmas present and fired both Rob and Rex Ryan. Per SB Nation, Ryan was ousted after issuing quite the ultimatum:
Rex Ryan told Bills ownership if they were going to fire him to fire him now, so they did, according to Bills sources as reported by SB Nation’s Thomas George.
The team’s statement was far less dramatic:

Rex coached the Bills for just two seasons and compiled a record of 15-16 — you know, typical Ryan mediocrity.
Much like Jeff Fisher’s axing, the Internet did their thing and burned Rex (and Rob) with some solid memes. Enjoy them, Bills fans; and never forget the good times you had spotting Rex roaming around town in his team-inspired truck.
