Vladimir Guerrero Put a Giant No. 27 on a Hill He Owns in the DR

A lot of articles have been sprouting up over the past week discussing Vladimir Guerrero’s Hall of Fame case, like there should even be a debate. Sure his counting stats aren’t exactly otherworldly, but 449 home runs (without a sniff of PED controversy), 2,590 hits and a 2004 MVP award highlight a pretty solid resume. Factor in that he was one of the most exciting players to watch with his free-for-all approach at the plate and cannon arm and the only thing I’m wondering is whether he’s going into Cooperstown with an Expos or Angels hat on.

Hall of Fame or not, Vlady knows he’s a legend. He made sure to let the entire Dominican Republic know by placing this massive No. 27 on a hill he owns:
