A lot of articles have been sprouting up over the past week discussing Vladimir Guerrero’s Hall of Fame case, like there should even be a debate. Sure his counting stats aren’t exactly otherworldly, but 449 home runs (without a sniff of PED controversy), 2,590 hits and a 2004 MVP award highlight a pretty solid resume. Factor in that he was one of the most exciting players to watch with his free-for-all approach at the plate and cannon arm and the only thing I’m wondering is whether he’s going into Cooperstown with an Expos or Angels hat on.
