I’ve always wondered about what happens to golf trophies after they’re captured, partied with, flown back to the U.S. or Europe and then you never hear from them again. Like the Ryder Cup. Does it just sit on a shelf in Davis Love III’s library until the next Ryder Cup?
I can report that the Ryder Cup was used last night by Rickie Fowler at some Beverly Hills establishment where he was celebrating his 28th birthday (it’s today) and drinking out of the Ryder Cup. I need to consult with a Ryder Cup expert to see if each of the guys gets a week with the trophy because it appears Rickie has been spending some quality time with the hardware this week.
