It’s a sad, sad day in Los Angeles for Mr. 7-9 himself, Jeff Fisher, is officially without a job. That’s right. The Rams sacked Fisher three days ahead of their Thursday Night Football game against the Seahawks (and a week after announcing his contract extension).

Rams fans are certainly thrilled, but I can’t help but wonder if Fisher could’ve run the table to finish this season 7-9. He currently owns a three-game winning streak against the Seahawks, and had the 49ers and Cardinals on tap to close the season. And even if he wasn’t able to get to seven wins, another defeat would’ve sealed up the all-time loss record — so many narratives robbed!
