By now you’ve been beaten over the head by P.J. Fleck supporters and their incessant coaching search news items that have Fleck leaving Western Michigan to coach 30 different schools. Fleck Heads had him going to LSU. Then it was Baylor or Texas or Oregon or some other school that had an opening.
The Fleck Heads never wanted Fleck to get the Purdue job because they saw it as an embarrassment to college coaching. P.J., they think, deserves much better. I’ve never seen anything like it since I started Busted. Fleck Heads have to be the biggest loyalists in college coaching history for a guy who’s about to leave their school.
Anyway, there are other things going on in Fleck’s life that are interesting. Like his new 2016 marriage to Heather Jackson after getting a 2015 divorce. Baller status 100! And Fleck has three kids and a stepson.
Heather, according to her Facebook page, works at a car dealership. Other than that, all we know about Heather (@hfleck10) is that she was a Row The Boater before Fleck ever came around. She predates him at Western. The couple enjoys life in a 7,000 sq. ft. million dollar lake house and living off PJ’s guaranteed $800,000 salary as head coach at Western.
For how long? It might be longer than expected. Purdue went with Jeff Brohm and Oregon’s not seriously considering a MAC coach. Maybe P.J. gets desperate and goes to Cincinnati. Or maybe he stays, Western’s no good next year and we never hear of P.J. ever again. Time will tell.
