You know what jersey got the most attention during Super Bowl 50 week in San Francisco? The Kerry Collins jersey I was wearing in the Super Bowl Village. Showstopper. I got so many comments that I had to stop wearing it by Wednesday. But it’s time to upgrade from the Collins to something a little more modern and the only place around here in Ohio where you can get NFL jerseys is Dick’s Sporting Goods. I’m not just saying that. You want a jersey, you go to Dick’s.
I can go into Dick’s and see that beautiful Andy Dalton jersey I should be wearing since I’m a Bengals fan. I can go in and feel the quality of that Dalton jersey. I can go in, buy it and head right to Paul Brown Stadium. I can go back and get the A.J. Green when it becomes embarrassing for wearing a Dalton jersey because he threw another horrible pick to cost the Bengals a playoff game.
Time to upgrade from my Kerry Collins to something a little more modern so my friends stop making fun of me
One look at Dick’s Jersey Report, the cool site that has been tracking store jersey sales, tells me that A.J.’s #18 is the 20th best selling jersey right now at Dick’s. Dalton’s jersey is 48th. The top selling NFL jersey right now at Dick’s is Carson Wentz’s #11. Makes sense. Eagles fans have been jonesing for a jersey to buy forever. They have the jersey fever and it’s Christmas season so there will be a ton of Carsons under the tree. The one thing that shocked me about the rankings is that Joe Haden’s #23 is currently 10th in sales even with the Browns at 0-12.
Here’s another interesting tidbit from the Jersey Report: A Seahawks 12th Fan jersey is currently a higher selling jersey than a Richard Sherman.
So long to the Collins…I’m headed to Dick’s and getting a Green:
