No Biggie…Just Our New Friends From The U.S. Skydive Team Parachuting From The Goodyear Blimp At Bristol

What’s it look like when the U.S. Air Force Wings of Blue Skydive Unit jumps out of the Goodyear Blimp to deliver a game ball for the Battle at Bristol? We finally know thanks to the first jump from the Blimp in 51 years and the setting couldn’t have been better than at the biggest game (crowd) in sports history.

Three Air Force Academy cadets jump from 2,600 ft. in the Blimp and landed a hundred or so yards from the College GameDay set and then met with Dale Earnhardt Jr. who was in town to be the guest picker.
Just look at that photo up top. That’s poster-worthy and I didn’t even have a dog in the fight last night. Add it all up and you have an incredible scene for a college football game. I know there were whiners sniping on Twitter and Facebook about the seats being so far off the field. Go ask someone who went to the game if it was miserable. It’s all about the experience. You go to be entertained and Bristol pulled it off.

We were in the neighborhood so we chatted with the skydive team to see how it all went.
