Ian Kinsler stole the hearts of baseball purists Sunday afternoon.

As you can see below, Ian bloodied his hand fielding a ground ball off the bat of Alex Gordon, but still made the routine throw with no issues. How did Ian remedy his bleeding finger? Some good ol’ fashioned dirt and grass:

Kinsler told the Detroit Free Press the pain was “nothing:”

The pain, Kinsler said, was nothing.

About the play, he said: “If it’s to your left or to your right, just try to stop it and either get the guy at the plate or the out at first. Just try to make the play.”
