If you were hoping to escape the Colin Kaepernick national anthem controversy in virtual reality, we have some bad news for you: it’s coming to Madden 17 in the near future.
That’s right, EA Sports confirmed to Gamespot that Brandon Gaudin and Charles Davis will be providing commentary on the situation:
“Kaepernick’s decision will be briefly mentioned in-game, reflecting our commitment to authenticity in Madden NFL 17,” a senior publicist for EA Sports said. “Overall, our new commentary will mainly center around on-field performance, as well as major news like trades, free agency signings, and injuries.
Hopefully the realism of the game doesn’t rile up any of you guys who have extreme viewpoints on the topic. We’re not sure if you guys will be able to handle that and ridiculous glitches…
