I think we can go ahead and mark this one down as the most Canadian robbery of all-time. These guys, who probably just got done playing a little late-night pickup hockey, just wanted a little beer to wind down and decided to rob this convenience store.
Apparently the goalie didn’t have time to take his pads off afterwards and also felt it was necessary to bring his stick in case, you know, maybe he needed a weapon to fight off some guards or something.

Here’s more details about the robbery from the Winnipeg Free Press:
The thief had help. An accomplice threw a rock through a glass door and went into at the vendor at about 2:40 a.m., and was followed inside by the nefarious netminder.
“He was wearing everything but a (goalie) mask,” Church said, adding the man had a tuque pulled down over his head.
Church described store security video as “quick and distorted.” He said the “goalie” was wearing a jersey under what appear to be overalls.
He added the man was holding the goalie stick “in his weak hand… like he’s walking in a goalie stance. He must be a goalie.”
I guess the goalie life just doesn’t quit.
