By now most of you guys are aware of the female American swimmers to watch at the Olympics (Missy Franklin, Katie Ledecky), but we’re going to broaden your horizons a bit with a foreigner that could catch everyone’s eye — Slovakia’s Katarína Listopadová.
Katarína was Slovakia’s youngest athlete at the 2012 London Games, and is qualified to compete in both the 100m backstroke and 100m butterfly in Rio. In 2015, she was awarded with the “Swimmer of the Year” award from the Slovak Swimming Federation — a title she’s won five times.
Beyond the pool, it looks like Katarína is doing big things as well with “lawyer to be” written on her Instagram page.
