Despite the gaudy offensive numbers, it doesn’t look like David Ortiz will be calling off his planned retirement. Total bummer for Sox fans, but hey, if you’re a New Englander with disposable income to burn, you can get over it by purchasing Big Papi’s 2014 Lamborghini Aventador.
The Lambo just went up for auction this week and currently stands at $200,000 with one bid. Ortiz apparently logged a scant 940 miles on it, so it’s basically brand new. We’re guessing Ortiz is selling because he’s too massive for it.
Details from the listing:
2014 Lamborghini Aventador Roadster Blanco Isis (White) with Nero Ade (Black) Leather Interior, 6.5 Liter, V12 Engine, Permanent 4WD, 7 Speed Gearbox, Navigation. Options include Dione Forged Rims, Yellow Brake Calipers, Transparent Engine, Lamborghini Sound, Multi-function Steering Stitching, Carbon Fiber Engine Bay, Yellow Rear Suspension, T-Shaped Engine Cover and Wheel, Front Exterior Carbon Fiber, Rear Exterior Carbon Fiber, Power / Heated Seats, Contrast Park Assist. Original MSRP was $522,435. Bought new by baseball hitting legend David Ortiz and only driven 940 miles! Beautiful inside and out. June 2014 In-service Date. Still under Factory Warranty. The new owner will have an opportunity to meet David when taking delivery of this amazing car. Maybe even see a Red Sox game in his personal seats.
Drop a couple hundred thousand and meet Ortiz? Worth it!
