Earlier this month, Jags running back Denard Robinson fell asleep while driving his Chevy Impala and ended up submerged in a retention pond.
Action News Jax reported how the crash went down according to the traffic report:
The officer observed that “the vehicle was traveling west on Beach Boulevard and was attempting to turn left onto Southside Boulevard and made a wide turn, causing the vehicle to go over the sidewalk and down the embankment.”
“There were no skid marks indicating the driver attempted to stop the vehicle before the crash,” according to the report.
And now we have surveillance footage of the incident courtesy of First Coast news — and, of course, it doesn’t look great. As you can see below, Denard’s Impala slowly glides against traffic before he hits that pond:

Again, Denard apparently wasn’t drunk despite the odd footage.
