Pirates fans had a major scare tonight after top prospect Jameson Taillon took a line drive off the bat of Hernan Perez to the head.
As you can see below, the ball nailed Taillon cleanly and subsequently bounced all the way into left field:

Pitchers are almost always taken out for precautionary reasons, but Taillon is still pitching in this game — he’s allowed just one run through 5 innings of work.
