I have a special place in my heart for Mark Richt. As a UGA fan and now graduate, I’ll always love the guy. Sure, he might’ve been a little boring and might’ve wildly underachieved the last 7 years given the talent he had, but I’ll still alway appreciate him for putting Georgia back on the map during his tenure.
But it was time to move on for both the school and him, and I’m glad he’s back at his alma mater enjoying a fresh start. This high dive tradition was started by him at Georgia and has now brought it to Coral Gables. It makes me a little sad to see him do it, but I’m glad he’s happy. Like a mutual break-up.

It was more of a falling-backwards-off-of-a-ledge rather than a backflip, but it’s cool. Or maybe I’m just spiteful.
