A football stadium for the Raiders on the Strip?
They’re talking about it in Vegas. Would they build it on the land where the Riv stood before they blew it up a month ago? What about across from the old Sahara casino? Or the land across the street from the old Sahara, now SLS. I’m telling you right now I’m heading to Vegas at least twice a year just for sporting events if they put the stadium on the Strip. Put a Super Bowl in that thing and just close the Strip for a week. Don’t tell me that’s not coming like 10 years from now. NFL Network & ESPN broadcasting live from the Strip for an entire week in early February when the weather is perfect sounds incredible. The stadium will cost about $1.4 billion…you can’t put it off the Strip.
