Randy Johnson’s infamous pitch that cost a bird its life seems like something that could never happen again, but Adam Wainwright came very close during tonight’s game against the Royals.
As you can see below, Wainwright delivers a fastball to Cheslor Cuthbert when a bird randomly appears and nearly collides with the heater (and the bat):
