This is the kind of stuff that makes NASCAR great. It’s not the driving in circles for 5 hours or the strategy behind racing, it’s when two drivers lose their goddamn minds and start duking it out in the middle of the track during a race.
It doesn’t happen often, maybe 2-3 times a year, but when we get a NASCAR fight it is glorious. And it’s never actually a good fight, but that’s what makes it awesome. Here’s John Wes Townley and Spencer Gallagher looking like two drunk friends wrestling around at a barbecue.

No real punches thrown, just a lot of grabbing and holding with neither one really strong enough to take the other down. And then finally by the end, both are too tired to keep fighting and they end up just walking away from each other.
