Marshall volleyball player Kayla Simmons appears to be a new “America’s Hottest College Athlete” to keep an eye on. Who is Kayla Simmons? She’ll be a junior setter for the Herd in the fall…and, as I already mentioned, she’s tearing up Instagram this summer with her bikini work.
Reader YH wrote this in the BC DMs: “I know Cavs have given you material for days but here’s a college athlete that’s hot.”
That’s true, I’m up to my eyes in Cleveland content, but I’m always game to work in something for the national audience. I understand there are those of you out there who don’t give a shit about the Cavs and you need something to get you through the week.
So you get a new “America’s Hottest College Athlete” contestant.
Kayla’s volleyball bio:
Appeared in all 30 matches, starting 28 … played 119 sets … led team in assists with 1,112, good for 9.34 per set … recorded a season-high 57 assists against Davidson (Sept. 12) at the Panthers Invitational … had a 54 assists for a personal conference-high against Charlotte (Sept. 25) … collected 18 digs in two matches (Davidson, at UAB (Oct. 30)) … averaged 1.92 digs per set … named to the C-USA Commissioner’s Honor Roll and awarded the C-USA Academic Medal.
It’s easy to be hot and ride the bench. Not Kayla, a native of Gainesville. She’s headed towards all-conference honors and attention from college bros across the country.
