9:05 – We’re minutes away from Game 6 of the NBA Finals. Will the Cleveland Cavaliers force a winner-take-all Game 7? Or, will the Golden State Warriors win their second straight championship?
9:06 – Goosebump City from the national anthem. I really hope that trend catches on at other venues.
9:09 – Craig Sager is the man. I’m elated that he’s working his first NBA Finals game tonight. Such an awesome gesture.

1Q 8:51 – Cleveland came out hot, taking a 6-0 lead. Kevin Love picked up 2 quick fouls, but who the hell really cares?

1Q 3:53 – The Cavs are rolling! They’re up 20-9, and the Q is going bonkers. Steph Curry already has 2 fouls, and Golden State is shooting a putrid 4-14 from the floor.

End of 1Q – Cleveland leads 31-11 after the 1st. Holy smokes, what a quarter for the Cavs! Just a total dismantling. Tristan Thompson has 7 points and 9 boards, LeBron has 9 points and 4 assists, and Irving has 7 points and 2 blocks.

Nothing went right for the Warriors in the 1st quarter. Curry picked up 2 quick fouls, and he’s their leading scorer with just 3 points. They went 5-22 from the floor and 1-9 from 3-point range. They also had 4 turnovers.

Not exactly an ideal time to have your worst quarter of the season.
With 11 points in the first, the Warriors had their fewest points in ANY quarter this season.

2Q 5:42 – The Warriors have cut it to 46-33. Still a lotttt of basketball left.
2Q 4:52 – Golden State has gone on a 9-0 run and it’s a 46-38 ball game. Curry is heating up in a major way, as he now has 16 points.

End of Half – The Cavs are up 59-43 at halftime. Irving leads all scorers with 20, T. Thompson has 11 points and 10 boards, and LeBron has 14 points and 6 assists.
Despite having to sit more than usual with 3 fouls, Curry still lead the Warriors with 18 points. Klay really struggled, scoring just 7 points on 3-12 shooting from the floor.
The Warriors are shooting 29.5% from the floor, while the Cavs are shooting a blistering 55.6%.
Can’t knock the hustle.

3Q 6:58 – Cleveland’s up 70-51. Curry picked up his 4th foul, but it probably won’t affect his playing time too much at this stage in the game.

Before fouling out and getting ejected, Curry had 30 points on 8-20 shooting from the floor. Klay had 25 points on 9-21 shooting from the floor.
