This past offseason, the Rockies signed Gerardo Parra to a three-year, $27.5 million deal to shore up their outfield. The results thus far have been very underwhelming, and things managed to get worse today with the outfielder going down with a bizarre leg injury.
As you can see below, Parra makes a pretty routine catch in left field only to have rookie darling Trevor Story barrel into his lower half during the play:

Parra had to be carted off with an apparent ankle injury.

Story may just want to defer to the two-time Gold Glover going forward.
