We Finally Got To See Bartolo Colon Hit A Home Run Last Night

Ever since Bartolo Colon jumped over to the National League and joined the Mets a couple of years ago, we’ve been waiting for the day that he hit one out. We knew one day that this big goofy fat guy whose helmet flies off if he swings too hard was going to embarrass some poor pitcher by taking him deep.

Yesterday, it finally happened.

As awesome as the home run and the slow trot around the bases is, the call makes all the difference and Gary Cohen nailed the call. “This is one of the great moments in the history of baseball” is such a fantastic line and took it to another level.

The Spanish call was awesome, too.
