Australian tennis player Bernard Tomic had himself a moment during his first round match against Fabio Fognini at the Madrid Masters.
As you can see below, Tomic, who was down three match points, opted to not make an attempt at Fognini’s serve as he held his racket backwards. For real, he had his hands on the strings and basically said, “F this:”

Tennis nerds are piling on Tomic today for tanking or whatever, but we’re not even mad. The guy was down multiple match points at the damn Madrid Masters — this isn’t the French Open, the comeback effort just wasn’t worth it. Some days you don’t have it, and he was still a sport to Fognini when they met up at the net.
You may remember Tomic’s name popping up last summer when he was arrested for partying hard at a Miami penthouse.(The charges ended up being dropped.)
