The Girls of Glitter Gulch strip club in downtown Vegas is about to become history after the owners of the D Casino and Golden Gate purchased the buildings housing the Gulch and the tiny Mermaids and La Bayou casinos so they can build a brand new casino. Those places close June 27 so if you hold fond feelings towards those places, you better plan a trip. I recommend a trip to the Gulch just from a historical perspective. I was in there one time with friends for historical perspective and one of the dancers ended up being from Ohio and knew people we knew. Yeah, it got awkward. The place is a dump, but the days of historical perspective opportunities in Vegas are running out. This will mark the end of topless entertainment in the central downtown district. The La Bayou building has been a casino since 1931. It’s all about to disappear.
