Conor McGregor Retires From MMA – UPDATES

Conor McGregor Retires

So long to Conor McGregor. He’s officially retired from MMA…if you believe what he posted today on Twitter: “I have decided to retire young.” McGregor, 27, is supposed to fight Nate Diaz in a rematch at UFC 200 on July 9.

Would Conor McGregor consider joining WWE as one of the greatest heels in wrestling history?

So far there’s no comment from Dana White or the UFC. Lorenzo Fertitta, UFC’s CEO, predicted in December that McGregor would be the first $100 millionaire from the fight league. That prediction was made before the Diaz loss.

Fertitta said that number, which assumes McGregor will continue to dominate, would be from fight earnings, bonuses and pay-per-view revenue and would not include his outside income from the likes of Monster, his autograph deal with Fanatics or entertainment deals.

Update: McGregor has been pulled from the UFC 200 event. Looks like the retirement is official.
