We’re still waiting for that major breakout girlfriend story of the 2016 NCAA basketball tournament. Our last hope in Houston just might be North Carolina’s Marcus Paige and girlfriend Taylor Hartzog, a UNC dance team member. TBS needs that cutaway family to focus on and it just might be the Paiges with Taylor by their side.
You know the drill here: Viewers need that emotional investment like a family or girlfriend who might go cobra surrender late in the 2nd half.
TBS can go back to the senior day footage where Paige thanks his family and his girlfriend, who was sitting in front of him with her fellow UNC dancers. He thanks her, she clutches her chest and tears up. TBS producers should be all over this footage. It should already be queued up for Saturday night when the Tar Heels face Syracuse at 8:49 EST.

Not familiar with Marcus Paige’s UNC career? He passed Michael Jordan over the weekend on the UNC all-time scoring list and holds the school’s all-time record for made 3-pointers.
