It just might happen in Vegas
Goodell hasn’t totally put the hammer down on the Raiders in Vegas, which is great news for all of us who’d love for our teams to play the Raiders in Vegas so we could turn it into a three-day guys’ weekend full of debauchery. But I think we all know what this is all about for Roger and the other 31 owners: leverage. Never leave any city out of the equation when trying to put pressure on another city to build a new stadium with taxpayer money. Just once I’d like the NFL to do something fun that the fans actually want – we want to go straight from the strip clubs to the stadium. Hell, let Mark Davis be the first guy to put a casino in a stadium. Let him have private suites where high rollers can play blackjack while watching the Raiders out the window.
