Cardale Jones, Joey Bosa and Darron Lee were signing autographs at a suburban Dayton, Ohio mall on Sunday when 12 Gauge decided to meet with the mall Easter Bunny. You know, just another Sunday as the quarterback who won a national title for Ohio State, which means he’ll be signing mall-tographs for the rest of his life.
I said this over a year ago: In Ohio, if you win a national title, you’ll be able to supplement your income with autograph signings for at least 10-15 years straight. Remember OSU quarterback Craig Krenzel? The guy has spent the last 13-14 years making money signing 2002 Buckeyes national championship posters. An Ohio State quarterback who wins a national title doesn’t even need to get a real job. Between corporate appearances, putting your face on an insurance business or appearing in car dealership ads, you’ll have more than enough money in life.
Add in a few autograph tours of Ohio and you’re talking a comfortable life where you take a photo with the Easter Bunny and count the dollars earned signing Sports Illustrateds.
