It’s been a huge, huge day for free agent NFL quarterbacks who really haven’t done much of anything in the league.

Chase Daniel somehow coaxed big money from the Philadelphia Eagles, and Brock Osweiler, who couldn’t fend off a washed up Peyton Manning, landed a four-year, $72 million deal with the Houston Texans:

Osweiler threw for 1,976 yards and 10 touchdowns in eight games of work in 2015, and that was apparently enough for the Texans to go all-in.

The figure was so high that even career backup Matt Flynn had some thoughts about the deal:

Of course, that tweet brought out the trolls, but Matt was ready:

Flynn was a member of both the Jets and Saints last year and hasn’t appeared in a game since 2014. The guy has clearly mastered the backup game.
