I’m back from Minneapolis
I was part of a group of national media outlets invited over the last two days to spend time with the Vikings to hear about their new $1.1 billion stadium – U.S. Bank Stadium – and hang with the executive members of the franchise, including owner Mark Wilf. Not going to lie, I wasn’t expecting to be in the same board room as the guys who run the Vikings hearing about their new stadium. The way these trips usually work, you fly in, hit a hotel, jump on a bus and go look at a stadium. Not this trip. The Vikings have a stadium preview center in their temporary downtown headquarters where they hold corporate events to sell suites. We had dinner there Friday night. GM Rick Spielman ate dinner with some of us losers. Mark Wilf chatted. Then I got home and realized I need to do the dishes. That’s how quick life snaps back.
