There’s a lot to be excited about for Boston Red Sox fans in 2016. The team went all-out during the offseason by giving David Price a monster contract, and trading for shutdown closer Craig Kimbrel. Sure, they still have to watch Hanley Ramirez try to play defense (this time, at first base) but the shiny new additions should counter that.
However, we’d imagine ticket prices to get into Fenway won’t be easy to stomach, so it makes total sense that the Sox fan above took matters into his own fans by robbing a bank in Fairhaven. Suffice it to say, the Sox hat worn was of the not-so-subtle variety.
At around 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday, officers responded to a report of a bank robbery at the Santander Bank branch on Huttleston Avenue, police said.
Police said a man walked into the bank as he was talking on a cell phone and approached the teller. The man passed a note demanding money from the teller. The note said the man had a gun, police said.
The teller gave the man an undisclosed amount of cash, police said. The man fled the bank and never displayed a gun.
The suspect is believed to be a brown-haired man in his 20s. Contact the police if you have any information that could get this scum off the streets.
