We’re still two days from NFL free agency kicking off, but fans in Kansas City don’t have to wait to make a potential splash purchase.
Currently available in Lee’s Summit is the 1980 Chevy Bluebird Chiefs tailgate bus above. The owner spent 12 years driving this baby to Arrowhead Stadium, but it looks like he’s seen enough Alex Smith checkdowns. He’s asking for $3,750, which isn’t terrible…
Details from the seller:
Bought from a school district in east-central Colorado. Owned and driven for 12 years to Kansas City Chiefs home football games. Bus runs and drives. Everything works (except one drivers fan and short in right rear taillight). State inspection good to July 2016.
*Chevy 350 4-barrel engine (complete tune-up Nov 2014) 36,725 actual miles
*3 speed automatic transmission (flush and filter 2011)
*Chrome wheel covers
*AM-FM Radio (no speakers) (I’ll include a couple 6×9 car speakers if buyer wants them)
*Real Leather seats. Built-in tables.
*Sits 9 including the driver. Storage for essentials and place for table and standard grill. Storage
area with door for porta-potty
*Includes PVC flag pole, stand and flags. Porta potty
It sounds good, but it’s worth noting that it “runs and drives like an old bus.”
A look around
Close enough on the Chiefs logo, we guess:
