For some reason I missed the news late last week that NASCAR crew chief Chad Knaus was selling his impressive North Carolina lake house, according to Realtor.com. Once again, we have a guy selling what looks like a forever home to me, but I’m just a loser blogger. I’m not the guy holding the mortgage to an 8,000 sq. ft. pad that’s now on the market for $3,100,000.
Maybe he got tired of the lake view from the exotic pool.
According to Knaus’ realtor:
Breathtaking estate impeccably designed with exquisite details, custom millwork & exceptional selections throughout. Gourmet kitchen with custom cabinetry, Viking appliances, butler’s pantry & opens to great room. Owner’s suite has vaulted ceiling, luxurious bathroom with stunning solid marble soaking tub & dual closets. Spacious lower level offers an entertainment bar, wine room, theatre, billiards & guest suite. Lavish outdoor living area with a resort-style infinity pool/spa. 4 car garage
Uh, that lower level is a complete party pad. I’m talking hot chicks, famous NASCAR drivers, members of the Panthers, etc. partying down there.
Other highlights of Knaus’ dump:
• 5 beds, 6 full bathrooms, 2 half-baths
• You get a golf cart
• Let me go back to that basement and reiterate that it’s one of the nicest basements you’re going to find on the NASCAR circuits
• 4.4 miles to Whole Foods
• 2.6 miles to Waffle House
Asking: $3,100,000
Mortgage: You’re looking at about $15,000 a month (before taxes) with 20% down.
