Toledo, Ohio cops have released a name in a late December diamond heist pulled off by a Cleveland Cavaliers fan who pulled a fast one on a check cashing location.
From the Toledo police Facebook account:
UPDATE: Darrell James Thomas (DOB 12-15-91) has been identified as the person that stole the diamond ring at the Cashland. He currently has an open warrants for felony theft & felonious assault along with 5 misdemeanor bench warrants. If you know where he is call Crime Stopper at (419) 255-1111.
This is a bad position for Darrell. It’s going to be impossible to lay low during the NBA playoffs because he’s going to want to hit the bar, maybe a Buffalo Wild Wings, with his boys to catch LeBron vs. the Heat or some other East team. One of his buddies is going to get the bug to turn him in for that NBA Finals seat money. Good luck, Darrell.
